This painting is of my little friend AnnaBeth Lane. She used to live across the street from me, and one day I asked her mother if she could pose for me. Her mother said, I don't know, she's had such a hard day at school....a little boy had been "bullying" her, and she was very sad about it. She came anyway, and I took this photo that has a touch of sadness in it, that makes the painting one of my favorites. Even children can have a bad day.
